Great Screen!

Super happy with this outdoor screen! Not only was it super easy to assemble but is sturdy because of the unique design unlike others on the market. I also love that you can do different heights. Very happy with purchase!

Great Summer movies!!

This is an incredible outdoor screen. The warmth of the sun pulled out the wrinkles and Akia included a dust cover for the screen. It's easy to put up and take down. We leave the screen snapped on to the main frame and store it in an outdoor storage barn. We will disassemble the entire thing for winter storage. I love it.

I love the screen, but!!!

Quality picture, but the screen material was hard to get it to snap on the frame. As you can see in the picture the buttons look like they’re not hold for to long. I got 145inch 16:9.

Easy Set Up, Packs Up Nicely in the included storage case

This setup is fantastic! Very easy to set up, only gave 4 stars because the snaps that hold the screen to the frame did take a little more effort to connect than I feel they should have. It was a little colder out during set up, so I ended up using a hair dryer on low to warmup the screen. After that the screen was able to stretch better so the snaps could connect to the frame. The frame unfolds and assembles extremely easy and intuitively. The option to have the screen raised up tall or down low makes it great for different group sizes. The screen was generally wrinkle free. The fold lines could be seen up close, but only slightly visible during very bright scenes. Even then it was only noticeable because I was looking for it. I would definitely recommend for anyone that wants a great setup that can be stored easily when not in use. The included storage bag does have carrying handles that help with transporting it.

Top tier quality

I honestly didn’t know how big a 145” screen is until you have it up. Yes, I took the dimensions from the description and mocked it up but WOW! I love it. Downside is it takes two to set it up. You could probably get creative and only use one person but I didn’t want to take a chance. It’s being used as my garage man cave.To get it on the lowest setting is easier said than done. You’ll have to take it to medium first then work one side down because the front fold out leg is in the way of the actual screen on the lowest. With that being said, if you’re debating on pulling the trigger, do yourself a favor and BUY IT!

Great screen. Vibrant and beautiful picture

It took a bit to figure out how to put it together the first time. But Since then, I've been able to do it all by myself. Putting it up takes about 10 - 15 minutes by yourself. Maybe a bit less. Taking it down is quicker. The picture is beautiful. I do want to reach out to the manufacturer though. This is my first summer with it and it is beginning to develop brown spots on the screen. I don't see them much when watching movies, , but they really bother me. I do love the screen. I think it's great and would highly recommend it.11/3/2021So I reached out to the vendor regarding the light brown spots on my screen and the tear in my carrying case. They had me try a few solutions that are recommended for removing the spots, but they didn't work completely. So without further delay, they shipped me a new screen and didn't even want the original one back. So I can use it until the spots get really bad and then switch to the new one. I can't thank them enough. They really stand behind their product and I must say, what a product it is. The screen is vibrant, beautiful and really large. I use it primarily for camping trips in the summer and sometimes in the back yard. It makes movie watching a wonderful experience. I even hook up a full home theater to my projector outside. I really love it and won't hesitate to buy from Akai again. Awesome company! Changing my rating to 5 Stars.

This portable screen is great!

This portable screen is great! solid black back & plasticy surface resulted in a very reflective screen. even people sitting way off on the sides still had a great picture.putting it together was very straightforward, no directions needed other than the video I watched & reviews I read before purchase. It all just sort of unfolded & went together the only way it could. someone had posted a tip about snapping the screen on using every other snap 1st & then going back to do the others. this worked great & make getting the screen on but taunt very easy. when using the thumb screws to connect the legs to the frame, you have quite a few holes to choose from. if you look at my pics, I could have raised the screen about 1' or lowered it about 2'.taking it down & putting it back in the bag was very quick & easy.the only negative I can say is I already ripped the carry bag. each part is relatively light & easy to move around but when you have them all in the bag, it's pretty heavy. I made the mistake of trying to pick it up by the handle & it ripped right off the bag. I'm pretty disappointed but the bag is still mostly OK.

Cost Effective with Decent Contrast Gain White Screen

The screen came folded in packing, and so, it did possess a lot of creases during installation and first few days of viewing. However, like the manufacturer mentioned in the manual, most of them cleared off within a week or two. But there were few prominent ones, which I alleviated using hot air blower from the backside of the screen with a low temp. air. Still there were very few spots that didn't go in two weeks. But it's hardly noticeable from a decent viewing distance. I also use a native 4k UST projector which can be sensitive to these creases, which shouldn't be the case for most standard throw projectors. Also, the prominent fold creases at very few spots are visible only during a high contrast or white or brighter backgrounds images. Overall, an impressive image quality for a white screen in a darker environment compared to the expensive ALR/CLR screens. As far as the stand is concerned, it is marketed as both indoor and outdoor use, but for indoor usage, some prior planning and thinking needs to be done. I bought a 145" screen that almost gets close to my 100" ceiling at the lowest mount point. The stand can't be fully extended and needs to be assembled with some help to avoid hitting the ceiling if done indoors. Nevertheless, the stand can be opened on one side and flushed against the wall at the lowest point as shown in the images. The frame is sturdier, but the light weight aluminium is easy to slide in a hard wood floor. But everything is manageable and can be used to setup a great mini home theatre if done with proper planning. Great buy for the price and quality

Great quality!!

This product is amazing. Couldn’t believe how large it is in real life. I was considering a motorized retractable 150 inch but was concerned with the warping associated with retractable models. This screen, when attached to the frame, is very flush and smooth. We have enjoyed two movie nights since our purchase and it really feels like a theater experience. Everyone gave it the WOW factor when viewing for first time. We paired this screen with our new Valerion Vision Master Pro 2 projector and the combo is just unbelievable. This setup is so high quality that we no longer see the need to pay ridiculous ticket/food prices at the theaters anymore. We’ll gladly wait till they’re available on streaming to watch from home. The frame is very well built and sturdy. Easy to setup and break down (I recommend two people to setup). This is not ideal for indoor use, especially if you need to use the frame and stands it comes with because those items will sit your screen quite high. So don’t just go by the screen size alone, you also need to consider how much higher the stands will elevate the screen. I used some of my filmmaking c-stands to hold the screen as this allowed me to position the screen much lower to the ground. But overall, it’s a great quality screen for the price. Highly recommend!

Great for movie night in the basement.

The screen and stand are easy to assemble. We had led lights around the ceiling in the basement and it wasn't a problem.

Fairly solid

This wasn't terribly hard to put together and has held up for longer than expected - we should have taken it down for weather but did not. Pretty satisfied overall!

Love it.

Our projector and this together make for an amazing outdoor home theatre experience! We have been storing it built in the garage because we don’t want to have to tear it down and put it up frequently.

Amazing screen

I'm a previous AV installer, I did it for 5 years and worked in both staging and home AV.When the screen arrived I was quite surprised how big the box was so be prepared to find a decent sized storage area for this. Once I got to put the screen together I was pretty taken back with the quality of everything inside the box, first the carrying case is super sturdy, if you "take care" of it it'll last you for a very long time but if you're careless I give it 6 months so please take care of the carrying case it's meant to last. Now onto the screen itself, the frame is what I like to call staging quality because it's the same type of frame used in the $1000+ projector screens I used to install, in fact these seem to be better because they're easier to snap/bolt together, the legs/stands are easy to put together, the frame folds out very easy. When you put this away the frame folds at the joints in the direction its supposed to go, be sure to use two people during your set up and take down because you don't want your screen touching the floor and using someone else to help you will ensure it doesn't.The screen snaps onto the frame and could be a little difficult for the average user, so be sure to start at the corners trust me its how the professionals do it, once you're getting to the last ones it gets tougher but don't give up, I like to put the palm of my hand near the white part of the screen but don't touch the screen just grab the edge and with your thumbs guide the metal piece to join the other, take it one piece at a time.So this screen was an upgrade from the other one we purchased which was a 120" front/rear projection screen and I wasn't happy with that one because there was no height adjustment on the screen so my projector table sat higher than the screen so you could imagine how annoying that was. With this screen you can adjust the height and boy let me tell you this screen goes pretty high if you want it to. I was also unhappy with the light loss of the other screen which is what happens when you get a front/rear projection screen so i figured I'd never want to use that rear projection feature and got this front only, big difference in the brightness for the picky eye.Overall this screen is amazing, the quality of the whole unit is beyond my expectations, it's easy to use and the 145" we bought will make people say "wow that's a big screen" yes ma'am it is :D so if you're having second thoughts about this screen don't it's great so buy it! :)

Sturdy frame and tight fitting screen

The build quality is excellent for the price point. Just like the more expensive fast foldsThe screen has to be stretched the first time it goes on, so a practice run is good to do before showing up at a venue

Such a solid build that it has a couple issues

Pros: Everything from HDR to YouTube videos in 720 simply looks as awesome as expected on this screen. Looks even better to my eyes than my local cinemas! The frame is very well engineered with a design that was easy to assemble. I was also impressed with the array of choices for vertical screen placement, including under a foot off the ground. They took great care in packing each item and provided ample, quality supplies; nothing about this item feels cheap.Cons: I did have to resort to using channel lock pliers to help stretch the screen into place in several spots so it could be snapped into place. The decent amount of effort that took also underscores the fact that the screen is given plenty of necessary tension. Also, my Sony disc player and receiver REMOTES STOPPED WORKING as the screen is so heavy duty that it obstructed the signal. I wound up buying an inexpensive remote signal repeater as a fix, improved the remote performance and also allowed me some extra flexibility in placing the units conveniently for me to manually adjust vs. having to have their fronts facing the back of the screen. My speakers behind the screen also did get slightly muffled but was fine after adjusting their levels.Bottom Line: I am left with a fully satisfying screen that gives the impression that it will outlive both me and my grandchildren.
