Looks amazing
I tried their CineGrey screen first with my Samsung UST, and compared to this screen the overall results and the results under ceiling or ambiance lighting is outstanding. If you have a UST just get this screen. Plus the screen itself was much more durable compared to the CineGrey screen
I was very impressed with my VAVA 4K projection image on my bare wall, so I had very high hope and looked forward to receiving this screen. I thought with the Screen on, I would be able to see the color the same or better. Apparently, it was not the case.I did a lot of research and read a bunch of reviews about ALR/CLR screens. I thought this could have been a great choice. This is not among the most expensive or cheap kind of screens. It's in the middle, and good description among this price range. I was disappointed that the color was dull, much worse than the color I had on the bare wall for the week I used before receiving this screen. Very disappointed with the color (I did check the Color setting and nothing wrong with it. So it's the screen problem, not the VAVA projector problem in this case). The installation was painful and horrible, not as described in the manual or in YouTube video, it was a lot harder. The screen was flat/no wrinkle after the assemble, however after I hung it up, some wrinkles showed up towards the bottom left corner. Also when we were trying to hang the screen up, the middle Tension rod dropped onto the floor and scratched onto the back of the screen a little bit. There was no screws or hooks to keep this rod sturdy in place. It was put in correctly and straight 90 degree and the tension was not tense enough. Measure the exact 4 spots for the hooks were difficult. The company should have included some simple paper strip measurement between 1 hook to the others vertically & horizontally.I measured the projection size on the wall prior to hanging the screen up, so adjusting the image squared up onto the screen was not an issue. So only disappointed with the color and the assemble/set-up process. (After going through that much time and trouble, I can't think of putting everything back in the box to return! So I'm stuck with it, I guess!)Sorry, I didn't take pictures of "Before" this Cine Gray screen in order to illustrate the "Before" and "After" both with ceiling light on and off. I can watch fine when turning off all lights. It’s not good when some ambient light or ceiling light is on.
This was well packaged and thought out. The springs are a bit tricky but comparing the price it was worth the extra effort. Some of the springs shot off and we had to find them. I decided to skip the boarder and glad I did. The contrast is amazing with my Epson projector. The 16:9 format fades away on cinematic movies. The dark grey punches out the blacks and contrast is excellent.
Easy to assemble. The button snaps took some getting used to. Straight on picture fades terribly at edges with my epson 5040 from 14 feet away. And gets in usable just 5 feet off center. See photos. From straight on and off center. I put a piece of paper on screen to show difference.
